In 2005 the Marion Rayward Memorial Scholarship will offer a new award for study at masters or PhD level. The award is available for a research degree in any field of music education and is tenable at any New Zealand university.
Criteria:
It is hoped that the research will contribute to the strengthening of music education by tackling some perceived inadequacy or problem, or exploring some new approach, or documenting some achievement in New Zealand music education. The research may cover any of the fields of music education.
Applications:
Applications should include the candidate’s research proposal and a recommendation from the music or education institution in which the degree will be undertaken. The due date for applications is October 1st 2005, but consideration may be given to a student who began work on a research degree before the date on which applications close
